For twenty years, I’ve been a lawyer. I still stutter when people ask what I do … “I’m a la … librarian!” I loved my law job, and I’m having a blast as a librarian. The in-between … figuring out the transition … not so fun.
Friends and acquaintances have asked about the transition; in particular what I read that helped me figure it out. I read a lot, most of which wasn’t particularly helpful. So, after much prefatory explanation and a hefty disclaimer (I’ve still got a lot of lawyer in me), I posted my reading list. You can find it by clicking “Career Change” at the top of the page.
